Record interest in the AKTS "Amateur" tournament

The event took place on June 15 in the sports hall of the John Paul II Educational and Upbringing Center in Jarosław at ul. Jana Pawła II 30. The competition was held in five categories: women, men - amateurs up to 50 years of age, up to 50 years of age with a V league license plus players with a IV and III league license without an age limit, 50 - 60 years of age, amateurs and players with a V league license, over 60 years of age amateurs and players with a V league license. The competition was attended by as many as 93 people, who came from such places as: Puławy, Lublin, Biłgoraj, Ruda Śląska, Rzeszów, Sanok, Stobierna, Przemyśl, Lubaczów, Sandomierz and Brzozów.
- The turnout, considering the time of year and nice weather, was really impressive. The tournament was attended by very good players, both male and female, who presented a very high level of sportsmanship. The individual matches were full of many attractive, spectacular exchanges, which aroused enthusiasm, admiration and were rewarded with great applause. Most importantly, all the matches took place in a friendly atmosphere while maintaining the rules of fair play.

It was he who, together with Jarosław councilor A. Rodzinka-Głąb, organized the event. From the newly-baked 4th leaguer, AKST "Amator" Jarosław, the best performer was Jarosław Pysiak, who took 3rd place in his category, Joanna Pajączek was fourth, Justyna Chrzanowska fifth, Zuzia Tomaszewska came in eighth.
- The best in each category received cups and attractive prizes, and all participants received a commemorative emblem in a case. During the tournament, it was possible to replenish the calories burned by using the buffet table, which included top-quality cold cuts, provided by the Jarosław branch of the Sokołów company. We also provided hot and cold drinks. I know that all the participants of the event were very pleased.

Support in organizing the tournament was provided by and the prizes were donated by: the mayor of Jarosław Marcin Nazarewicz, the Jarosław City Office, Oxynet Jarosław, the School of Sports Mastery in Jarosław, Hotel Arłamów, the “Gmyrek” Garden Center in Jarosław, ul. Sanowa 12, MOSS Meble, Sokołów SA and the Podkarpackie District Table Tennis Association.

Robert Kalita (Lublin); category II: 1. Janusz Bachta (Borek Stary), 2. Krzysztof Szybiak (Borek Stary), 3. Jarosław Pysiak (AKTS Amator Jarosław).
